So I picked up a Pioneer AVH-4500NEX Doulbe Din, the JBL kit and was all set to tackle this project and install in my 04 couple but see the gap is absolutely freaking hideous! Do they make a trim kit for the G35 double dins? The trim ring. I see they have them for the 350z, and are two but am not seeing anything for our G35s. Anybody have any success finding a trim ring for the G35s?

There are different colors available. Get the correct one. A few guys say the color still doesnt match their dash and might require repainting. Not sure if that issue has been resolved yet or not.

The cut out is much larger than the Pioneer double din unit despite them all "being the same size". So the ring that goes around the unit to fill in the gap is what is needed. I picked up one of these but they suck. None of them fit. I guess I will have to custom fabricate one from the three different ones. Do some cutting, gluing with CA glue and make something work. How cheesy though.

I bought this one 7 years ago but Amazon still carries it.
Trimmed out the middle and it filled the gap on my JVC perfectly.

 

Thanks. So you have it "recessed" to. By that I mean it sits behind the silver part back by the head unit. I notice Metra has a ring kit that comes in their box that snaps around and makes it "flush". I still havent tackled this yet. I have the JDM kit, the radio unit, the adapters.. just been so intimated of wiring everything up. I really should tackle this, this week.

 

Does anyone know of a kit for the woodgrain trim? I can't find one anywhere.
