I recommend the AUX-NISS by Soundgate because it's specifically designed to work with radios w/o the "SAT" button. The AUX-NISS is essentially the kit version of Soundgate's ALNS1 and AUXCBLALP. It can be purchased from http://www.logjamelectronics.com and http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=610.

You should be aware that some have reported hearing a "whining" sound from the speaker after installing the ALNS1. I contacted the company a while back and spoke to a technician who was aware of the problem. He recommended grounding one of the wires on the input converter to the car.

If you're wondering, I haven't installed it yet. But have plans to do so in the future.

My '03 is SAT ready. Do you have a SAT button? I thought the early builds still had the SAT button and connection in the back of the head unit but didn't have the hookup in the trunk. If that's the case you can still use the PAC and get 2 AUX inputs.

The cars manufactured after Nov 2002 (aka 2003.5 model) and equipped with the Bose stereo have the SAT button. Cars built prior to then, like mine and Hyde, don't.

Okay, my door sticker says 08/02, but I have a SAT button on my Bose...where do I fit in the grand scheme of things? I have an aftermarket Kenwood HU with Sirius in my Pathfinder, but the control stack in the G is too nice to put in another HU. Is my G Sat ready? I looked by the spare in the trunk like another post said, but I think he was talking bout the coupe cause there's nothing back there. Where exactly does the OEM Sat tuner harness come out in the trunk if it is pre-wired?

If you want to add a AUX switch, and you have the SAT button - you should go with the PAC AAI-NIS unit... It will be the best bet for you - and I am sure others would agree.

dlfnrdr,
The Sat hookups are near the bose amplifier on the left side of the trunk. Just pull the plastic up and you'll see it lying there.

What about user's who HAVE XM from the factory using the SAT button?!?! The car I purchased came WITH XM and 2 free months from the dealer. After non-use I decided to cancel the service after the 2 free (unused) months. In case I decide to get the DW screen how (if at all) can I use/attach the PAC AAI unit?? Most of the installs I have seen or read about pertain to people who did NOT have XM/sirius from the factory but HAD the SAT Button and used that as the AUX.

TIA

Most of my customers who were in your shoes just disconnected the SAT tuner from the back of the head unit and plugged in the PAC unit. This is because they knew also that they would never use the SAT radio subscription again...
