I've searched far and wide for the answer to this question, and have NOT found the answer I need. I have an old RF Punch 10" woofer that I'd like to add to my G35c; possibly in the 4080 box. Question: Can I use the 4080 box and that sub with the OEM amp? It's a DIY project and I'd like to keep it as simple and cheap as possible.

I apologize if this has been asked/answered before, but I've seriously searched for days and haven't found a definate answer.

No, you will need an aftermarket amp. You can hook it up to my sub/box and it will move the speaker but I doubt that you would even tell a difference between it and the factory subs. Short answer is no.

4080,

Having a full size spare tire in my 2003 sedan, would removing the " filler " foam that has been included from Infiniti accomodate the taller 12" woofer box?
Would removal cause the tire to move around or compromise any of the floor space of the trunk?

Thanks,

Bill

I have never tried to do this, and I do not have a sedan to try it out. I do not believe that the filler panel has anything to do with securing the tire. Try and removing the filler panel and send me a pic if possible, ainslie@wave-electronics.net.

Thanks, 4080

Sorry 4080,

I don't have access to a digital camera( I'm a little slow in purchasing new technology).
Could any sedan owner that reads this try removing the 'filler foam" and take a pic. It would be interesting to see.

Thanks,

Bill

Its been awhile since I've been on this thread (OCT 30th) so excuse me if this is obvious...(I tried back tracking but I couldn't get through all 300+ posts)

Is 4080 offering a 12" sub-box option...? I've seen a couple of guys request it... However I'm not sure whether they were ordering them or suggesting that 4080 look into making one...

If there is a 12" option...specs & price please... If not... too bad!

The coupe box is $299 shipped with carpet and a standard grill. The box with the Infiniti grill is $335. I currently have a group buy in process. Take $20 any purchase if you act now. I accept paypal, money orders, and credit cards. My paypal email is ainslie@wave-electronics.net

Thanks, 4080

Sound good. If I read correctly, gross internal volume is 0.85 cu. ft. Is that correct? What is the max. mounting depth? I'm trying to see if the enclosure will accommodate an IDMAX10D2 v.3 (7.625" depth). Thanks.

Man I wish those IDmax 10's would fit but its a tad too deep. Your best bet is JL10w6v2. Below is the link to 4080 box specs and the Group Buy.

Thanks for the link. So, I'm thinking about adding a 3/4" spacer to increase the depth. It looks like I'd have to ditch the nice flush grill and use one that isn't flush. I'd be willing to sacrifice some asthetics for performance. Any thoughts 4080?

Yes that is possible. If you dont need a grill then this will be the route you need to take.
