I'm seriously considering this box, and I have an MTX 2 channel amp from my old car that I'll mate with a sub speaker, but I haven't really found a good way to integrate these components into the stock non-bose system on this board yet. Anyone know how I can do it? I've read here you can tap off the rear speakers, but how does this sound? Sorry to take the thread off topic, but knowing a good way will help me decide to buy the 4080 right now or not.....

I have the non-Bose system in my car. I installed a Rockford 4 channel amp and Rockford 10" sub. I used a PAC SNI-15 signal stepdown to adapt the amp to the stock headunit. I am very pleased with the performance and overall sound quality. I removed the headunit, tapped into the factory speaker wires and connected them to the SNI-15. The hardest part is to remove the factory headunit. I think there are some DIY threads on this. If you have never attempted an amp install, I would suggest you spend $50 and have a professional installer perform the procedure.

Thanks, 4080

I read in another post that joes954rr has a 12" box in his 05 sedan.
If I remove the filler foam in my 03 sedan, would I have to modify the box to have it sit properly in the corner?

No, you SHOULD not. I say "should" because I have never tried this. The only difference between the two cars is the foam panels and the spare tire. Take those out of the equation and it should work.

Hey 4080, what is the usual turnaround time from payment to shipped? Just curious, paid for mine around Dec. 5th or so.

I did that last night can you send me some details on Cost?
I am not looking for bone jarring bass just some fill from the rear that the 8" stock sub does not compare...
will one 10" enclosure provide enough umph? or are two necessary?
in your opinion of course?
thanks in advance.

Each coupe box is $299 shipped with carpet and a standard grill. I have them in stock and ready to ship. One 10" sub and my box is usually enough bass for most people. I only need one box myself. You can send payment to ainslie@wave-electronics.net.

Thanks, 4080
