I need expert advise. I don't know sh!# about audio equip. so doing a search is pointless. I'm looking to improve on the Bose with a good amp and sub. I'm not looking th break the bank, and I know sound is subjective. I just want some feedback on a decent system and see what others are running

 

As far as amp and sub goes? the JLs are most common around here, but stereo speakers are different story, Alpine, MB Q's, Focal...

Dont Waste Time On Jlw6's...go For W7's . Ive Blown A 10w6 With A Jl Amp. Btw Those Amps Pump Way More Than Their Rated...even Jl Subs Cant Handl'em! I Also Like The Solobaric If Your On A Budget...but, Jl Amps Kick ****!

 

Thats what i was worry about, the 500/1 is going to be loud enough or not?, hope you are right, really wanted the 1000/1 but few ppl told me that is way way over kill, so is the W7s

 

Barely starting running the cables and drew some template for the amp rack, battery, EQs and working out the dimensions of the box and that took almost whole day , tomorrow? friend of my(the real installer)will start to help with fiberglassing, speaker rings, building the rack....not to mention applying the dynamat which I truly hate doing(cuts all over your hands, and it smells!). it will probably taking good part of two weeks, cus this time I gonna have box painted, so......S-A-N-D-I-N-G

 

Only The W7 Can Handle A 1000/1. I Heard The Jl Amps Give Out Over 1400 Watts Rms In Reality!

 

Can this system run with the stock Bose and speakers? Or even the 500/1?

 

500/1 + 10w7 is my set up =) its nice
