I would like to know as well. What are the sizes of all the speakers in a G35 coupe with the bose system?

6.5" all around drivers.

6x9 in the rear which are suppose to be subwoofers - go figure.

Some change the 6.5 out, disconnect the 6x9, and add sub. Or you could put in 6x9 full range drivers for the rear fill.

Oh 1 more thing, the holes are for the custom BOSE, so you either have to drill new holes or create your own "adapter" bracket.

Hi,
rear deck produces the low's. I disconnected them and used the signal to drive my bp1200 sub amp w/ a single 600w channel...12" kappa perfect in a really small box (sealed, big enough to just fit the speaker). Really adds to the depth of the sound (it pounds). Stage 2 will be tp replace the the fronts. Soo...yes, Bose speaks suck, kick those rears out w/ a decent sub amp and sub and you'll be happy.

6x9

Sorry for the spelling error, I just noticed that haha. But, for the side speakers, what are the fitments for that, do you need to make any new drilled holes or anything, and what products would you reccoment. How hard is it to install those things by yourself. I have 2 eclipse titanium 10' subs that pound really hard, so do you think I should just disconnect the 6x9 or put something else to enrich the sound? Cause overall those speakers and the install shouldnt cost me more than what 4-500 $$ ?

there is a recent thread about the rear side speakers. 2.5" depth fits barely. You can drill holes in stock metal bracket BUT for 2" and deeper speakers you will need spacers to move it forward like the stock BOSE bracket does.

The front door speakers will require a bracket since the Bose speakers are designed with a plastic bracket to raise the speaker roughly 3/4" from the door. Just get some MDF and cut some rings with an inner diameter to fit your speakers and outer diameter just big enough to use the predrilled holes in the doors. For the coupe, 1" tweeters will fit in the factory location but some modifications are required. Personally, I would spend more on the front components than the rear surround speakers. And for those just wanting to install speakers without running new speaker wires, save some money and do it yourself.
