So those are the only parts needed? I've gone through the tutorial, but it seems that the 05's are simpler to disassemble. Would having the stock nav cause a problem with an aftermarket head unit?

if you get an aftermarket headunit, your nav wont have sound, so youll need to get an extra speaker, and wire it, but i think its alot of trouble

Eclipse is the only one all in one double din unit for now.

Kenwood you have to hook up external nav unit and Pioneer you have to hook up external dvd player.

That is AWESOME! I've had my eye on the D2 for quite a while (I want nav and a better display for MP3s)... the only thing it doesn't have is a 6 disc changer/hard drive. Have you thought about going with the Pioneer iPod cable kit to use the iPod as an external music hard drive?

Could you post or PM where you got the D2 for $1400? That might have to be my present to myself this holiday season!

I was thinking about it, but my 700MB mp3 CD is good enough for now. I can always get that later.

I got mine from here http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_....jsp?cid=15914 with 2 day shipping.

If you search on google you will see that a lot of websites have it for a bit cheaper but, this is the only company that actually had it in stock.

That was last week, so try to shop around.
