I just traded my '04 on an '05 and i had a phatnoise phatbox hooked up in my '04 via the PAC audio auxiliary adapter, worked great.

I took it all out and now want to use the PAD Audio adapter to hook my MP3 player into the '05, will it work? the '04 stereo had the "SAT" button that the adapter utilized and the '05 of course does not....

not sure, but i think it would, you don't need the sat button. On the 05s that input is accessed by hitting the Radio button. It switches from AM to FM to SAT.

 

thanks, i think it seems like it should too... any other ideas on a different way to hook it up? i dont want to do FM modulation, poor sound quality. thanks!

 

sure, before phatbox developed the sat prewire cable, it was connected directly to the back of the headunit with a diff cable. So that might be an option if you could actually get your hands on one of the other types of cables from phatnoise.

 

can someone confirm that this works on the 05's without a SAT button?
