The very first thing on their features page:
Writes all kind of mediums apart from double-layer DVD
so it is not useful for the Navi data DVD.

I've made a copy of my disk no problem its the 6.3 version, I just got "junk" mail concerning the 200$ upgrade, which IMHO is not worth it, but 40$-50$ bucks yeah I'd bite.

I was a bit upset about damaging or loosing it, and always wanted to keep my original disk stored at home.... so here we go...

Some info: the original DVD is a Dual Layer disk, with over 8.1gb of data
Software that will NOT properly copy the navi dvd: Nero, Roxio Easy Cd Creator, Sonic junk, Alcohol 120% (My appologies fo suggesting it before, it actually refuses to burn due to size of the blank dvd)
Software that works: UltraISO, CloneCD, i used a 21 day trial...
Dual Layer Media: Verbatim DL DVD Disks @$16/3pk Buy.com
Drive used: NEC 3520A, latest firmware

I used a UltraISO to make image of the DVD first, for safekeeping and whatnot, i tried a bunch of image options: ISO, Nero, CloneCD, and the CloneCD image is the one I burned using Clone CD software... If you want to make a few $6 coasters you may try to use clonecd straigh, but who wants to do that.... anyway it took about 40 min to rip dvd, and then i burned it using CloneCD at 2.4x as a safety precaution, as my crappy dell has problem burning disks at high speed, due to slow hdd.

I hope this will put an end to this discussion.

P.S. Don't copy that floppy! err DVD!

FYI - I just backed up my version 6.4 software and found that I had to use nero to copy the program cd (not the nav dvd) to get it to work correctly.

Well as the poster before said, he made disc images using UltraISO. I just did this and while UltraISO worked for the dvd (ie, make a ccd image of the dvd using UltraISO, then burn that image using CloneCD), I found that that process didn't work for the Program Disc (the *other* disc that comes with the nav software). Not to worry though, to copy the Program Disc, simply using the "copy cd" function in the latest version of Nero and it will create a perfect 1:1 copy of the Program Disc.

My 06 uses a new version of the NAV disc (I believe it's 7.0). It is not backwards compatible with the older systems.

I am looking to buy v6.4

I am looking to buy someone's v6.4 so please PM me. Also, according to "animalz" reply it also needs some sort of disk to flash the drive so it will work with the new version or whatever is the latest version that will work on a 04' G35 Coupe. I am a serious buyer so please PM me.

My '06 is version 7.1, which is only compatible with the 7.xx series (new navigation OS in 2006).

I got what you need.

Hey Fellas, I`ve been driving around with a backup copy of the 6.3 version since May 05. I was just browsing the forum and noticed this thread. My original stays at home. If anyone is interested give me a holla. I will say this though, making a backup is a little time consuming. You need to buy the blank DVD Dual Layer single sided 8.5 disks and then format and burn so it takes a little time.
For a decent price I`ll hook you guys up. No pressure it`s up to you all.
Holla at your boy.

Kajoob,

Please tell me about the "program" disk. I have an 05, 6MT coupe and all I got was the Nav disk. Was I supposed to get a second disk?

THANKS,
AGSTRK
