Just a thought, did you try the search function? I get 23 threads if I search for "cleansweep" in the audio forum.

One thing I have found several people mentioning but no one giving a decisive answer, is whether to hook the cleansweep, or any eq+amp setup before or after the Bose amplifier. The question, it seems, is whether the Bose amp is a "dumb amp" in that it simply amplifies an input from the stock bose HU, or if it is one of those units which also responds to "bus" type commands from the HU, such as Bass/treble adjustment, fading, etc. I've heard some people say that the stock Bose HU puts out a (fairly) flat signal, and that the Bose amp adjusts the freq. response. I've heard others say that the signal coming from the Bose HU is variable, and the stock Bose amp simply amps it up. I know I've said the same thing about 4 different ways, just trying to explain something that is fairly fuzzy for myself!

I have one. I haven't had a chance to hit the before and after button yet. It appears to be pretty flat . I am happy to have it because I know the CS is the best LOC. It is a line driver and bumps the voltage up which
I believe helps. I am not sure that an aftermarket unit still wouldn't sound better but if you are like me I really like the fact my install is completely stealth and I feel I have a better chance to keep it

My installer just tested the output from the HU and it was flat. We believe the EQ to be in the amp.

I have the following installed:
JL Cleansweep
JL 500/5 Amp
JL XR's all around
JL Stealthbox
Overall, I am extremely happy with the sound. Best sounding system I ever put together. The Stealthbox was the most surprising feature for me, single 10 is amazing. As for the Cleansweep, I am obviously not using the Bose amp so my signal is coming straight from the head unit. I have used the deactivate/activate switch on the Cleansweep and honestly can hear no audible difference.
So my suggestion would be if you use the Bose amp, the Cleansweep would probably be worth it. If not, install a system without it first and see what you think. It is nice to know even though I personally can't tell the difference, that I'm getting the absolute best quality sound possible with the Bose HU. The Cleansweep is also useful in that it has aux inputs for accessories.
