Feedback on Phoenix Gold Xenons

Just wanted to see if any of you have installed Phoenix Gold Amps or have heard them in use before...I'm planning on getting a 1200/1 and a 100/4 for my setup in my coupe...

Supposedly the Xenons are more reliable than the Octanes... but I just heard that the Xenons are about to be disco'd.

I'd go with something else personally. PG has gone downhill.

We just took 3 Genesis Profile Series amps out of a BMW and replaced them with two DLS reference amps.

Lower RMS ratings and better sound and more detailed bass.

I thought Genesis amps were DA BOMB DIGGIDY No seriously, someone told me they were pretty good, and it could even fit almost perfectly where the stock Bose amp is.

Maybe these are different Genesisis.. hehe >1 Genesis

I have a PG Xenon x400.1 that I'm planning on using to power my subwoofer. Haven't installed it yet but just looking at it, it's of questionable quality. Supposed to be a pretty decent amp but I think it's probably worth about what I paid for it which would be $125.

You can. I like them, but the DLS Reference amps are better than the Profiles (cost 50% more: )

The Genesis Profile amps are lower end than their series three amps, which are the bomb.

I recently installed a Xenon 100.4
I like it... clean solid power...
It's not the most beautiful looking amp out there but I think it is pretty solid.
I don't proclaim to be an audio expert, but I've had my share of amps...
The things that stood out to me...
Triple Darlington power supply
Linkwitz-Reily (sp?) crossovers with 24db/slope
Ability to take a single RCA input for both front and rear

Plus I read this which seemed positve:
http://www.soundbuggy.com/Eric/Car%2...0_2/index.html

at any rate... I'm using it to drive CDT components in the front and a single Infinity perfect 10" in a 4080 box off the rear...

Sounds good to me, FWIW.
