Should I worry about RATTLES related to system install?

Tomorrow I am getting 2 10in DA subs installed as well as replacing the components with DA661's.

Now, should I expect a decent amount of rattling from the trunk, doors, etc...?

If so, how much?

Can it be prevented?

What should I expect?

You're going to have to Dynamat the hell out of you trunk...and don't forget to put some foam where the rear deck meets the trunk.

About how much dynamat is sufficient in this case?

If i were you i'd get a dynamat extreme bulk pack. Then lay it out over your whole trunk. I'm doing the same thing to my sedan when i put in my 2 12" alphasonik's. good luck

You will have rattles, or your money back.

Do the best you can ahead of time with dynamat, but the rest you will have to work out as they show up. As the car gets older you will get more rattles.

You can shim the problem areas with rubber and foam tape.

what do you mean by the older the car gets...more rattle?.. is it because of the fact that everytime you bump your system..things get more lose, causing gaps somewhere, resulting more rattles? i doubt the older the car gets..you will get more rattles..it all depends on how you dynamat in the first place.

Just got the car back from the install place. Luckily the trunk rattle really isn' that bad. I will probably dynamat the trunk at some point, but for now it isn't high on my list of priorities. But, I DID go ahead and have the doors completely covered in dynamat, making the DA661s I put in there sound great!

if my panels side panels are rattling, should I put dynomat on the panel that rattles, or put the dynomat on the metal part of the car?

Get Cascade VMAX. You can buy a bulk pack for a really good price by following the llink on their website. Don't buy it from a dealer, they make a fortune on this stuff!
