I got an AVIC-N1 and 2 shops have told me they cannot install it so far. Can someone please help me and tell me what I would need to take someone to install it (parts), and how much I should be looking to spend on labor. Any info and pics would be greatly appreciated. And please dont just say search becasue I have and cannot find parts i need etc... Thanks in advnace.

 

You will need an D/D kit, just read the thread on top of this page...

 

Is that all because one installer said its impossible, and the other said that I would need to get all new speakers becasue of the factory amp splitting the speakers at the amp or something weird like that and they would blow without the factory headunit. would it be possible to mount it where oem navi goes and just use it for navi and dvd's? I dont know much about audio stuff by the way. Thanks everyone very much.

Either A: they ae too lazy, or B: they have knowledge of how to connect an aftermarket HU to a Bose setup. Whichever the case I Strongly suggest you search elsewhere for an actually competent installer.

 

There are a limited amount of installers in my area from what I know though.
