Where did i go wrong?!?!
Alright, i was up all night last night installing my system!!! like till 4:30..... for some reason my sub isnt hitting hard at all..... like the rear 6X9's are hitting way harder than the sub.... now i have an 04 coupe (6mt if that matters) with the bose system..... i have the jl 10w6v2 with the 500/1 jl amp.... i kno i didnt need a loc buhh i figured what the hell ill just buy one.... so i bought the preipheral svenr its supposed to be for cars that have bose systems.... ok heres my problem i think i could be one of three things.....
1) maybe i didnt tap the right wires?
this is the guide i used to connect the loc
Head Output Front Right + Orange/Blue
Head Output Front Right - White/Blue
Head Output Front Left + White
Head Output Front Left - Orange
Head Output Rear Right + Blue
Head Output Rear Right - Pink
Head Output Rear Left + Teal
Head Output Rear Left - Purple
Remote Wire Light Blue/ Silver
2) Maybe i dont have the amp tuned properly? i went to the JL web site and they show you how to tune you amp, but maybe i did somthing wrong.... anyone know what it could be?
3) *** The line out has a swich maybe it needs to be swiched.... to rca or maybe waed.....
any suggestions thanx!

not sure if this will help, but i would start w/ the simplest thing. check and double check your connections, make sure the taps are solid. when your working that late it's surprisingly simple to screw even the easiest things up
Do you have an iPod or Discman? Do you have a mini-headphone-to-RCA adapter (or do you know where a Radio Shack is?)
Is your sub dual voice coil?
RUn your amp off of the iPod or Discman and see if it still sounds bad. If not, you connected your Peripheral wrong. If it still sounds bad, you probably connected your VC's out of polarity with each other.

A 500/1 should make a 10W6V2 pound hard and most definitely harder than the crappy 6x9's. Here's a few things to check. I've used JL amps in the past and actually have 2 of 'em sitting next to me on my floor. Hope this helps.
1) What is the Input Voltage switch on the amp set to? Try the other setting.
2) Please check how you wired the voice coils of your sub. The 10W6V2 has dual 4 ohm voice coils and can be wired for either a 2 or 8 ohm load. If wired in series, the sub will run 8ohm and parallel will run 2ohm. The 500/1 amp is designed for 1.5 to 4 ohms so make sure your sub is wired in parallel (2 ohm)
3) What type of sub box are you using? What is the interior volume of the box? Not sure if this is a big reason why it's not hitting hard, but subs run best in boxes that have volumes they were designed for.
3) I'm not familiar with the LOC you have. Is it adjustable? If so then set it to the middle to start and turn it up to see if it makes a difference.
4) Check all connections again.
Let us know how you make out.

None of which will help a bit if he wires one channel out of phase with the other.
