Re: Bypassing Navigation.
Shiot, I would love to bypass that moving cutoff too. Sucks to have to pull over and input the address. I've had to go out of my way to pull over and do that sometimes.

Re: Bypassing Navigation.
You will either have to reburn the rom on the NAV computer to bypass the speed sensor
-or-
you can disconnect the speed sensor from the NAV computer.
If you disconnect the speed sensor connection to the NAV comp. then you will lose your maintance info and MPG info.
- Don't argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.=P-

Re: Bypassing Navigation.
thanks for the info.
that maintanance info is pretty helpful when it comes to changing the oil.
If there is a way to reburn the rom to bypass the speed sensor, then there is a way to make the navi play movies right?
Or does anyone make some decoder that can be burned onto a disk and automatically install itself when the disk is put into the navi? Kind of like this hack i saw for PS2. Any hard core gamers in here that know all the tricks?

Re: Bypassing Navigation.
All you have to have to do is tap into the speed sensor wire and put a switch to it. Meaning when you are driving and want to type in info u tunrn on the switch making the car believe its not moving , then after you finish typing in the info then switch the switch back to off and the car will take like 15 seconds to realize where it is and there you go. i did it and it works great, i love it. check out my pic did many other modifications as well. go to:

in the email/friends line type in sachb79@yahoo.com
then in the private album on left column type in g35.
ENJOY!!!

Re: Bypassing Navigation.
Yes - I just did it. Easy fix. Interrupt VSS (speed) wire with toggle switch at back of Navi unit, white/green, flip the switch "off" when you want to enter while driving, flip back "on" so GPS mapping works.
its really easy. Drop the glovebox ( I have a sedan, probably same for coupe) and access 3 wiring harness at back of nav (DVD). All three are easy to unplug, but you only have to unplug the one with the VSS wire. I think it was the one closest to the drivers side, but may be wrong. Actually, you don't have to unplug it, but it gives you more slack to make the connection. I hid a small black flat toggle switch (looks like a mini-power window switch) in small storage area near passenger lighter outlet. It's easy to access, and when I turn the car back, the switch can be removed and no hole will be visable.
