Help: Tried diabling NAVI when moving with switch

I used a separate rocker switch with LED to diable the NAVI when driving. It worked perfectly the first 3 days and allowed me to switch back and forth. Now the screen stays in the disabled mode when moving even with switch on off position. I reconnected the VSS wires and still not working correcting. NAVI is not detecting that the car is moving.

Is it possible that I could have shorted out the VSS wire with a 12volt led rocker switch? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Doesnt make sense..

You wired a switch to disable the navi so that you could use the disabled functions.

Do you mean you put a switch on the speed sensor wire?

yes...im sure that is what he meant. Most use the valet switch in the trunk but i guess he wanted a seperate rocker switch.

How did you wire it up? Check the signal voltages on the VSS wires. When you're stopped it should be 0 or 12 V, and when you're moving it should be about half that (a 50% DC square wave of varying frequency).
