Sound Advice? or some other "street" shop?

Im looking to work on my sound system next. Ill be installing my body kit next week and as for electronics i have the tvnav2go conversion done + a ps2 in glove install, all done by myself without any problems.

With that being said, my next project is upgradeing the crappy bose speakers... my tweeters are cracking allready so im guessing they blew, and i dont wanna bother taking it to the dealer for a replacement. I allready have 2 10's in the trunk so all i really wanna replace are the stock speakers. Now, i dont think im up for this crazy wireing job, ive allready torn apart my car enough and i dont wanna start doing it again, it takes for ever. Should i head to sound advice and see what they can do for me?

I have NO IDEA what to put in there, i want to keep the stock head unit cause i have navi and dont want to lose the voice guidance, so all i really need to replace are the speakers and bose amp.... Is it worth it? From what i recall the headunit never really caused a problem, it was just the bose amp that sucks.

So....should i see what sound advice charges me to do the job? their name is reputable but is the price you pay really worth it? Or should i look for a reputable audio shop to do the install? Also, i wont be buying anything i just really wanna go into a shop for once and tell them what i want, and just pick it up when its ready. But with that being said, what brand should i look into for a clear crisp sound that i wont regret?

PS: Is it worth replacing the speakers/amp and keeping the bose stock headunit?

Yes. Read the sticky at the top of the forum.

A lot of people on here like DLS or JL Audio amplifiers and DLS or Dynaudio components. Many people ditch all the speakers but the front component sets (which they replace with aftermarket ones, obviously).

The job shouldn't be too expensive at a pro shop, it's just a simple amp/speaker install nothing major

im pretty electrically inclined - is it simple to remove the stock amp and replace it? and as for the speakers i would just have to snip wires and hook the new ones up no?
