I'm actually kinda interested in the auto-lock at 5mph, and not so much in the window roll-up feature.

I'm the opposite. I like the window roll-up feature, but I don't like cars that lock the doors on me. Mind you, we Canadians aren't quite that paranoid about car-jackers and such.

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

I flew to Atlanta this week for work and in my boredom I reviewed everything that has been posted about this subject and I realized that I left something out. My window up module does not have a way to stop the window from going up. The factory system does have a 'pinch' detection system but I have yet to have have the ***** to try it out (worried about hurting my baby). So, I modified the code to look for a lock pulse while the window is going up. If it sees a lock signal then it will immedately quit going up.

I would have used the unlock signal, but, then there would be another wire to hook up and more hardware to build.

I called home and the boards still haven't shown up, they should be there tomorrow!!!!

So does this mean that it will not "auto" up? Do we have to click the lock button when it is as far up as we want it to go?

No, it will go all the way up and stop at the top. But, if you put the windows up and then for some reason need to stop them from going up just push the lock button again and they will stop. Basically just a safety thing.

So you don't have to hold the button down like the factory roll-down feature requires?

No, you just push the lock button twice within 1s. There is no other way to do it. The system works by monitoring the lock motor pulses. The lock motor is controlled by the BCM, and no matter how long you hold the button down the BCM will only energize the door lock motor for about .3 seconds.

this is extremely exciting! I've been waiting for this mod for a LONG time now... you can just scroll back to the beginning and see....

can't wait to see my friend's reaction when I show him. he doesn't really follow these forums so he will be like "huh, why doesn't my G do that??" LOL

can't wait for you to send the units!!

I guess to do it the other way would require reprogramming the BCM.. which is not economically feasible.

I just arrived home from Atlanta and the boards were sitting there waiting for me. I have to say I am very impressed with the quality. They are nicer then I expected. I'm going to try and build one today and take some pics of it and post them a little later.

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?

Building the first boards has prooved to be a little more time consuming then I thought, and with family obligations I have yet to finish one (although I'm close). I have to go to Philly for work for 2 weeks and I have most of the parts/pieces needed to build the prototypes. I plan on ordering the rest of the parts as soon as I check into my hotel. If anyone in the Philly area is intersted in having one of these installed let me know and maybe we can work something out while I'm here. I'm heading back to Ohio around March 11th.
I'll post pics of the board as soon as I get one finished!
