Gotta agree with MiloX here. That site is a fantastic resource. It would be much more useful for you to get a basic understanding of 12VDC.

Ok, I cant read anymore Im too tired. Its looks like I have the wrong diodes right? Zener Diodes arent right? Can you just tell me what I am doing wrong and what I need? Id 20 gauge wire wrong? Please tell me I am doing everything in the morning.

You can use a simple, cheap 1N400X diode.
