This is another thing I found that this DIY did not describe about, I'm not sure if this was because my car is a Canadian one or if it's just supposed to be a "given" that people should already know about? But I sure didn't know.
Karson, Sorry to hear that you are having a hard time removing your OEM grill, those latches have a square top, you have to look from the front of the grill to see that, you will fins some holes and you will need to use a small flat head screw driver to turn it so it matches the shape of the hole so it can slip out.

After you get those clips/latches off, I would reccomend using some of that blue masking tape on the front bumper, and pulling on the grill hard until it pops off.

Good luck!

Are you referring to the latches? Or the pop-up rivets? Because I managed to get the pop-up rivets out...just not the latches...they are so damn hard to unlatch

I'm talking about the latches, you need to to turn the top of it so it matches the hole on the bumper.

And I recommend the tape so you don't scratch your bumper from pulling it it too hard and having it pop out unexpectedly.

Thanks!

Ok, after what seemed to be a gruesome battle to the death with my oem front grill, I finally took it off and installed the Gialla replica grill from Ionic. Haaaallelujah!! Haaaallelujah!! Haaaallelujah!! Halleeeelujaaaaah!!

I don't think I did a very good job of it because the lines / spacing seem to be a bit big between the hood and the top of the grill. But whatever, I'm content, not about to take it off and add another layer of tape.

PS. Thx mx22o and Ionic for the tips/advice!!

Just installed my Gialla grille, two issues the far right hole needs to have a "rattail file" run thru it for alignment and I used double sided tape on the bottom to make it a little more secure....see not big issues at all.
