Turbo G35 coupe single turbo with some goodies
damn....mine is giving problems. It used to only go up or down when i hold switch down and bang on the door. Now it doesn't work at all. Got window motor replaced and it doesn't go up or down. Anyone thinks it could be a switch problem?

buy from autozone or o-reily's etc....they have re-furbished Window Motors not sure on the regulators but the motors themselves are a lifetime warranty.

Thanks g35man, autozone here we come!
BTW, regulator = motor, I think its just a technical reference in any case.

window regulator is also consider the whole metal bracket that the glass sits against.

Thanks for the write up. I did the motor clean on my GFs car a couple weeks ago (04 6MT Coupe). It went from sounding ready to fail to sounding normal.

If you are just cleaning the motor you don't need to remove it from the car. You just need to unscrew and remove the cap and work on it in the door.

i had to replace the regulator on mine and it was a separate part than the motor. It was the cables with the rails and gears. Once i replaced that my window worked perfect. If it has a popping noise before it stopped working then that is the regulator (rails and gears). It was like 80$ from the dealership.

yeah that happened after I did my window motor repair. one day I was driving and start hearing a popping sound when I was rolling up my window..sure enough the whole gear part was a big circle instead of a square. I had to get that replaced.

okay so for the past 2 months when I tried to move the window up/down (keep in mind the car was in winter storage), it never worked at all. Now that the car is back out, the window is working again. And yes the battery was connected.

Strange...

my car did the samething after not driving it for a while but eventually you will start experiencing the issue again. I would advise to go ahead and perform this cleaning to save yourself in the long run.

yep, listen to the man. Mine was intermittant problem for the longest time then i couldn't roll my window up for 3 days because it was stuck down. I just fixed it to make sure i wouldn't have a stuck window when i leave my car parked out at the hospital for work.

mine was popping so the window regulator was all i replaced. the motor was fine in it.

found the best price.... $107 after core exchange, from Westminster Kragen in SOCAL. Ask for vic, he'll know whats up and price match. If he questions, tell him Mike w/the white G35 sent you. it has lifetime warranty. Its a refurbished motor, but who cares. It has a better warranty than infiniti's.

Install is pretty straight forward.
For all you mechanically declined peeps out there, hit me up n i can install
