Okay so its inside the actual physical drivers side window switch? Isnt that something I can just buy at the deal and do myself?

Talking You are the GMan

I greatly appreciate the detailed instructions for cleaning/changing out the window motor. I bought my 35 (2003) a year ago...mid life crisis car. Yeah!

Just went to lunch and launched the window down...she is stuck. This 'old gal is going home to conduct some surgery on the motor to see if cleaning it up will work. I have noticed once before that the window went a little nuts one day.

Praying for no rain!

Thanks again.

That is what happened to mine...you can try banging on the inside door panel while clicking the window switch up and it usually comes up once u hit the right spot. Try that out, so you don't have to pray that it doesn't rain.

I am so frustrated! I took my car into OC Nissan to have it inspected and they said that the problem is that the new motor I put it in is defective and the passenger one is working now but looks like it is also starting to go out.

So I end up spending $400 for another motor and have them put it in. Of course everything works great now!

My problem is I spent $170 for a "BRAND NEW" window motor on ebay and thats the one that came and was defective. The seller is refusing to give me a refund and is saying me or the dealer broke the window motor putting it in.

What should I do?? Can anyone give me advice on how I can get my money back? I filed a paypal claim but have little faith in that.

so this is the first thing ive ever done to fix my car besides watch my friend change my oil for me..

and doin this by myself, knowing nothing about cars... it was hella easy

i took off the panel after being uber scared of taking off the lil things and hoping none of the clips broke... took me a good 5 minutes to figure out how to slide the door panel off but it got off

then all i needed was the window regulator reset button and couldnt see anything till i realized it was behind the circle black sticker in the center

it went down just fine, but wouldnt go up... till i realized that the door had to be closed so i put the panel back on, closed the door.. and the window went back up just fine

this was SUPER FREAKIN easy.. i loved it, and my window doesnt do the whole "go up then back down halfway" thing anymore.. so yay

What's up Truexh? usually, when your window goes up and come back down a few inches, that usually mean that your window motor has to be rest, there is a way to reset the window motor, if that doesn't work, then you are having a more serious problem, your window motor is about to go out... and yes, if you hold the remote door open for about 3-5 seconds, it will go down... Good Luck Bro ...

BTW, if you rest the motor, and it works, you may have to adjust it a couple of times... have fun removing the door panel ...
