It's a little tricky but well worth the effort.

Yeah it is tricky. I cut my power steering fluid reservoir bracket to fit the passenger side STB brace. I had no problem with the A-Arm bolts and getting the mounts on but then I made the mistake of dropping the car before mounting the bar. I thought the bar wouldn't fit so I called Scott then he told me that the car had to be up off the ground as stated in the instructions. Boy do I feel dumb for that one.

I guess I thought I could force it on but then it looked WAY too long so I couldn't get it on even with brute force, a piece of wood and a hammer. I'm gonna lift the car up and finish up the install tonight. I still have to dremel my CF Z engine cover too.

Dan I asked Scott about this and it should fit they might have to bend one of the monts a little. I have a Procharger and last time I was at the track with VRT we set the bar in my engine bay and it clears but just needs to be installed to know for sure. Ive been laggin on going down to VRT to have them do a test fit.

It should fit im 98% sure

Yes.
I just removed it temporarily to access the attachment point more easily.

Ah I see.

Do you think that removing that liner thing will have any effect as far as heat, hood, paint?

Thanks.

I'm not sure....
I do remember seeing a thread some time ago about some of the functions of the liner.

So, are there existing fitment issues for the coupe with regard to the VRT STB? It sounds like a great mod.

Slight fittment issues do exist sometimes. It varies greatly from car to car. I have seen the EXACT same STB put on four different cars with nearly the same mods, they were 3 '04 coupes and one '03 coupe. the brace fit PERFECT on one of the '04's and the '03. As for the other 2 cars, they both had some fittment issues (that were very different from each other), though all fittment issues are fixable, and are usually worked out in a matter of minutes by most people. So, as for the fittment issues, I have found that it is mostly due to variences in the cars not in the STB's.

I've seen this piece in person and it is definitely very well engineered. After I test drive the car this was installed on, I think I'll be making a purchase as well. There was a very minor fitment issue on the piece I saw, but nothing 2 minutes of dremeling couldn't solve.

Thanks VRT for coming to market with this product.
