Worn Out Brake Pads And Rotors Did This To My Volks. Pics Inside!
Simply said, I let my break pads wear sooo bad that it went into the metal of the pad onto metal on the rotor and my brakes became metal pads on metal rotors. Got them replaced today and need some suggestions. I have tried all the products on the market and Billet by Mothers prob works best but the elbow grease wears on you. I can get the lip as good as new but not sure how to get into where the spokes meet the lip.
I need suggestions on this. should i try a long semi firm brush? best would be to remove the spokes and buff the entire lip but not sure who does that down here in fORT lAUDERDALE. PLEASE HELP. Thanks RX

You guys serious? no replies? wtf? I swear back in the day, there were replies (and good ones) to all questions in no time. where all the members go? Someone has got to have had this problem. Anyway, I found the greatest cleaner of all time and cleans it perfectly. I'm just still trying to figure out how to get in the corners and between the spokes and lip. I used a lug nut cleaner (3 end pip cleaner) and the lugs are spotless, but not sure how to get between the lip and spoke. COME ON GUYS AND GIRLS! WHERE YOU AT?

John, sorry to hear about what happened to you rims. How about wrapping a credit card or card like object in a soft cloth (terry or microfiber) and trying to get in to those tight crevices with car wash soap?
My brother has the same wheels as you and he uses Michelin Wheel & Tire cleaner to good effect. It takes off the grime without being acidic compared to other wheel cleaners. Maybe try that?
