I just feel that since it's under the hood, nobody's going to see it anyways, so the looks and brand don't really matter to me.

I guess it just comes down to the material which will determine if it will have the same stiffness. The Ti ARC will have the weight advantage, but a few pounds doesn't make a difference on a 3500lb car.
i totally agree. if the replica is made of a strong enough material and doesn't weigh too much more than the ARC bar and only costs about half, i'm sure everyone will be all over it. it's always good to have options. i myself don't mind paying good money for a good proven part. a lesson i've learned the hard way before.

yah, that would make the nice unit even better! but not sure if that much
rigidity is going to be necessary on a street car.

chiapet15- I support the people that actually spent the
effort and money to make original parts. that is the main
thing. Especially for our cars no one wanted to challenge
it.. only ARC and VRT. why would you now want to support
some lame copycat maker?

plus, we're not taking about thousands of dollars. couple
hundered bucks...which is basically nothing compared to the
amount of engineering and fabrication cost it took the
manufacturer.

anyway, ive said enough already. have fun with your tower bars.

I couldn't agree more - CopyCat or Replica parts Let's give our business to the guy who did his homework in the first place. This STB was a real challange to design, and two makers stepped up to the plate, and spent R&D money to do it. From the write-ups both were successful. It took over 3 years before we saw a viable solution. Let's give these guys our business, IMHO, they deserve it.

I still love my VRT, the improvement was truly amazing.

Everyone who got either a VRT or ARC bar said the same thing. I was a bit skeptical of how much a stb on our cars could do. But with so much positive feedback and no negatives I decided to take the plunge. Needless to say after first hand driving experience with one, I am truly convinced. Chasis flex is greatly reduced and I am getting a noticeable drop in chasis creaking and popping. Best mod I've done so far next to the Quaife and sway bars. Glad I got my ARC before the ridiculous price hike went into affect.

I just installed mine. PITA to install though because of the AC and brake line on the drivers side. My coilovers didn't help either, the tower bolts are too tall. Had to jack up the car to get the bolts out of the way. Had to remove my engine cover as I have a 5/16 spacer.

A bunch of front end creaks were eliminated in my ride too. Like dklau33 said, the front end seems really planted now and the steering feels more precise. Turn in and corner exit feel a lot better as well.

I've got a coupe. Did you take that bracket holding the A/C line and brake line out? Does your AC line touch any part of the strut bar mount? Mine barely touches.

Yea, there's worse things to install. But I was thinking this thing would install easily.

Nothing touches for me. But in order to squeeze the ARC bracket onto the shock bolts, I had to lift up the A/C and brake line out of the white plastic thing and then had to turn the plastic thing 90 degs. The white plastic thing was blocking the ARC bracket. Once I got the ARC bracket into place I was able to return everything back into it's original place. I was scared I was going to damage the A/C or brake line in the process as you do have to use some force when pulling it up and out of the way.

If there is a group buy for the VRT strut bar, please let me know at oneal.mistry@gmail.com....I would really like to buy it. So many postive things said about it, and nothing bad. I really got to get it. Thanks.

so i read: if your G35 is equipped with an aftermarket adjustable coilover setup, this bar will not fit without maching the ends.

what is maching the ends???

Yeah, I'm curious in this as well. I don't see why aftermarket coilovers wouldn't fit. Maybe the piston shaft is taller than OEM styled shocks and would thus be hitting against the bracket? That's my guess.
