want to lower my car dont know where 2 start

okay so i have a 05' g35 coupe and want to lower it, i dont wanna spend a lot of money seeing as i am currently almost broke lol and im looking to drop it an 1.5 inches in front and 1 in back, any suggestions on what to get and which brand you would recommend and an estimated price range. id say its mostly for looks but dont wanna compromise the handling much.

thanks

youll want to get a camber kit if youre dropping it anything more than an inch. my friend is dropped on g35 s techs (-1.2/-.9) and his negative cambers are terrible

Read this sticky first...

It will tell you what to expect in terms of the amount to drop to expect for all different springs, spring rates compared to stock etc. It's great information.

Beyond that, if you're looking for prices then search around via Google, or check out some of the sponsor sites... evasive motorsports, partshippers.com, intensepower.com, importrp.com all seem to have good prices.

I went with Eibach Pro-lines and Tokico D-7 and got the drop you are looking for.

I have 19" wheels with 20mm offset and have not had any clearance problems with the bodywork yet but you have to watch the speed bumbs and curb stop bumpers. I'm ginda concerned the first time I hit a pothole in the interstate at 70 mph..

Tein Basics

Because of the drop amount and the desire to keep cost's down. Camber correction is up to you, you will not be in spec, but you might like the extra negitive camber from a handling point.

"we can rebuild him. we have the technology. but we dont want to spend a lot of money."
