coilovers will always be stiffer. definitely an improvement over the 04 stock suspension. i've driven both the 04 stock and 05-06 sport suspensions and it is considerably stiffer than both. i believe it is Tein's softest though and I find them relatively comfortable for driving, but I do have a friend who complains that they're a bit rough. If you want handling go for the Flex and adjust with the edfc setup. I love the Basics though, they feel very solid and my car barely has any body roll anymore.

the dampers will be valved harder the spring rates will be increased. so basically you'll be lower and stiffer. i personally feel lower level tein products are junk...i'd be happier with a set of swift springs if all you're doing is daily driving.

its decent, but if youre spending that much... go for springs instead or spend more money for the flex.

I think the BASIC is good for its price. FLEX is almost twice as much, and he doesn't need all that, plus its going to be a harsh ride for daily. Springs are a good and cheaper alternative, but then no height adjustments which could be useful...
