Aftermarket sways = endlinks going bad?

Ive seen several posts in which people have installed after-market swaybars, and have ended up having to replace the end-links soon after, after experiencing a chattering from the suspension when driving around 20mph.

I too have begun to experience the chattering. I installed the sways 16,000 miles ago.

1) Will I need to keep replacing these every ~15,000 miles?
2) I cant seem to find any aftermarket links. Do they exist?

Are the “end links” the same as collars or is it a different part? Does this happen with all sway bars?

G35 Mass- what sway bars do you have?

I see what you are talking about. I really wanted to buy some Hotchkis sway bars, but now I see that I need to spend just as much as the bars for the end-links. Disappointed, again!

Anyone got a "link" to the replacement endlinks you are talking about?

Can you just replace the end-links with new OEM end-links once the chattering problem occurs?

I think I'll just replace all 4. Looks like it'll be about $60 shipped from everythingg35.com, half the price my dealer quoted me.

I have the stillen, have them set to med/med, and love them. I'm not a fast driver, I just dont like slowing down for on/off ramps It really flattened out the car. I think I might try stiff/stiff this next time....

on a full firm setting on the rear, the endlinks started making noises
but as soon as put it back to med, the noise went down quite a bit.

i have a set of links and the brackets. the nut that links to the bracket
(looks like an A) is super tight on there.

it's not the endlink bars themselves but the bushing inserts that are the culprit... it hasn't happed to me...knock on wood... but the weaker, softer part will give way before the stiff and hard part...

Well if you replace the end-links with new OEM ones, these have to wear out as well, right? I would rather fix the problem for a while, not every 16k miles. Do the beefy end-links wear out? The 350Z thread seemed to point to no.

G35 Mass- Where do you see the parts on everything35.com?

FenixL1P- How long have you had your bars on and what setting are you using?

Thanks.
