Help quick: Will spare tire damage suspension or lsd

My tire blew up on me when I was about 50 miles from home. So after replacing the rear tire with the spare one, I had to coast at around 50 miles or less. Do you think driving with the spare will damage anything on the suspension or the lsd?

On a side subject, what brand of tire would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

They designed the spare tire to be used

Unless your car is lowered and the additional drop provided by the spare tire causes your car to literally scrape the road as you drive along, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

thanks. My car is 100% stock though with factory sport suspension. I guess as long as I keep it at 50miles/hr or under it should be fine (with fingers crossed)

If you need A/S and you're running the crappy stock A/S tires usually included with most 17's then I would say Michelin Pilot Sport A/S as a pricey first choice. I was on a bit of a budget so I went with Avon Tech MS 550's for a lot less with almost as good performance. I am pretty happy with them. Also I would recommend going to a 235/50/17.

If you want to stick with an All Season tire like the Michelins that come stock with the car but dont want to spend quite as much, then i'd go with the Bridgestone RE960AS pole position. I have them on my car and i'm coming from S03's which were one of the best handling street tires i've ever driven on until the got discontinued. Went on a canyon run yesterday with a couple other G's and surprisingly, the RE960's held up better than i expected for being an A/S.
