do you want it to look good, but not be able to drive anywhere?

do you want it to be comfortable, or do you like stiff rides?
do you like the slammed look or subtle look?
do you want to deal with camber issues and have to buy camber kits?
what size wheels/tires do you have? offsets? are you okay with rolling the rear fenders?
you're being way to broad with your question. be more specific and we'll help you as best as we can.
yooo

also, depending on your offsets and tire sizes, the chances are you are going to rub with a slammed car and 10"/10.5" wheels. your options are to roll/shave the fenders or run an aggressive camber to avoid rubbing. the problem with running an aggressive camber is uneven tire wear.what is your budget? if money isn't too much of an issue, i'd definitely opt for coilovers so you can adjust the height to your perfect drop and possibly adjust the ride stiffness (depending on which coils you get).
be aware that loweing the car (properly) is not cheap.

search some H-techs or S-Techs or Eibach Pro Kit..plenty of pics
and wheel sizes to go through.
Sounds like you dont want to spend crazy $$$$ since you only mentioned
springs as the drop method.
At least you will have a feel with those ^^^^ springs.
