I am not sure if this has already been discussed, as I could not find it while do a a thread search, but if it has please let me know where to find it.

Has anyone used the stillen front strut tower brace, and what yal think of it? Also how does it compare to the other strut tower braces available? Thanks in advance!

i e-mailed stillen, and they said that it will not fit if
used with a plenum spacer, so it is not usful to me.

has anyone tried this?

 

I'm not sure if the same applies for the coupe but I'd invest in the sway bars instead of the tower bar there isn't much of a noticable increase in handling with the strut tower bar.

 

You are Dead Wrong my friend. There is an immense difference with the VRT STB. Do a search, You'll see

Perry, I plan on getting the sway bars, but I want the strut tower brace too.

Does anyone know how the Stillen strut brace compares to the VRT or any of the other ones out (ARC, and ARC replica)

 

im interested in this too, i wanna see if any of the vendors may offer a special package price with the strut brace and sways

 

judging from the materials only, i'd say vrt/ra > stillen

 

Stillen FSB requires the engine cover off and will NOT clear the stock air intake tube, reason I cancelled mine and bought richies...

Where are you finding the materials that they are made of, and how are you determining that one is better than the other based on material? Do you want the bar to be completely rigid, or do you want it to allow some elastic deformation?

Also where can one find the different sway bars? Are they on websites or are they sold through here? I have not heard of Richies, could you post some pics?

 

Circuit(350z forum) and NRG just came out with sedan strut bars that clear all spacers, look in vendor marketplace

VRT is going to own every strut bar that is on the market, end of story. Then ARC, stillen, and then richie. The ARC replicas are made of aluminium, which allows for flex. The arc is made of titanium so it is super strong, but i the design still allows for a little flex. The VRT has 3 mounting points, which IMO makes it the strongest bar out there.

it's been discussed a few times at local meets that the stillen bar will be made of aluminum. while this should still have some affect, the general consensus is that it's still too soft.

you can find richie's strut bar in the marketplace > vendors > suspension forum. the vast majority of this forum has the richie strut bar because it is a cheap alternative to the arc strut bar.

people don't seem to understand that there are other vendors selling an NRG bar that is exactly the same as richie's. that is...nrg is the one who makes richie's strut bar. richie did all the r&d for the replica strut bar, but nrg decided to sell the bar to other vendors (money talks).
