Does anyone make a comparble spring rate to a 05 coupe with the factory 19s... im under the impression that the stock springs are linear from what ive read? I always thought factory springs were progressive... I cant find anything thats comparable and gives about an inch drop. htechs are to soft and the s techs are not linear up front...

Nissan does, with revised 350Z (2005+) springs. Or mix H-tech for Z on front and OEM Z springs in rear.
2005 OEM 350Z: 314 / 427
H-tech: 358 / 375
Or go with Basics: 500 / 500

that will not get him a 1" drop tho, really the only options are coilovers such as the Tein Basics, most springs were designed for the nonsport suspension back in 03, so none are stiffer than the sport suspension with the exception of the nismo t2 linear springs, but those are way to stiff for any stock shock/regular upgrade, and should only be used with revalved konis.

1 you don't want linear spings period unless you are going with a full coilover setup. If you are just getting new springs you want them to have a progressive spring rate. Also I don't think our stock G's have linear spring rates.

why wouldn't you want linear springrates? and what makes you think oem springs are nonlinear when all the evidence points towards it?
edit: these look linear to me...

OEM Z springs lowered me 27/24 mm in front and 12/12 mm in rear.
H-tech for Z lowered me 32/31 mm in front.

The OEM springs are linear. And I don't see how any one that flogs his car would want progressive springs.
