What's really funny, is that an R1 Concepts employee brought this 6 month old thread back to life. It only had like 6 responses before and a few dozen views. Now that it is back on top of the posts, I'm sure it will get more eyes on it than ever before.

thanks MASS

Wow thats pretty bad. My rotors, stock and the DBA's i replaced them with, get a very thin layer of rust after washing and in the rain, but all of it, even where it is not swept, eventually just goes away. That is a thick layer.

yeah, even when I would wipe off the rust with WD40 and a towel, it would be back that same day.

I have seen a couple that have rusted. It happens to every rotor depending on a couple things. Deepness of the hole has alot to do. Mistakes happen dude but one bad set can't mean EVERY rotor is bad. Well with customer service i guess they were busy or something. But why didn't you send them a picture or if you lived near take em back?

If you read the oringinal post, you would see that I tried numerous times to get through to your company and the final result was getting hung up on. I did send pics in every email but got no response. I couldnt take them back because 1. they said they wouldnt take them back or exchange them 2. I didnt have another set to put on to replace them. The service was 10 times worse than the rust.

If you want to show this forums 50,000+ members that you are a standup company, why dont you offer me a full refund?

We will all be awaiting your response!

Yea, I'll agree that R1 rotors aren't great and definitely recommend that no one here should get them. I had them on my other car and they rusted and squeaked so bad that i had to put my stock rotors back on. And where is the member "R1concepts"? I know you guys are registered on the site. How come you don't use that screenname to defend yourself rather than creating a new user name?

Hmmmm, I've had my R1 Rotors for 1year and 1/2 now and no problems still...I've got 4 friends I refered to and they have no problems either... Like some people said, maybe it was just a bad pair.... however, bad customer service cannot be tolerated! Hope they give you a full refund. Too busy is a BULL**** answer for any business...Good luck!

Why should everyone have to paint them? Shouldnt R1 make a product that is expected not to rust terribly? Who is fishing? I forgot about this thread months ago and R1 brought it back up. The best solution would be to exchange them for the guy I sold them to.

First of all i didn't pay much attention to the forums i just randomly checked the m out. R1 isn't the best company buy we try alrite.Tell me what other company sells at our price? and same style? If you rather want to buy outdated styles go ahead we are just another pin in the haystack.I didn't know R1 had an account here i just made one to respone to your comments.Dude tell me how much were your rotors.I know service wasn't good for you ill talk to the guys and keep you in consideration.I feel bad for what they did but thier can be other things to blame it on.Get me the price for your rotors i can get you a discount. If you ever gone to R1 my car is the corolla. I can get the rotors if you want i know it was a bad pair for sure. But doesn't mean R1 is the worst. It was a mistake and mistakes happen.

I have R1 rotors on mine for about a year now, and also on my brother's Camry. Performance-wise, they're good for the price, and I've had zero problems with them... But I will agree that when i've had to email customer service, response was VERY slow or non-existent.... I had better response by calling them. Their excuse in the past has been that they get tons of email and thus can't answer them all, but in this day and age, if you have a customer support email address, you should be able to provide support through that mean....Just my .02.....
