get these, they are better performing, no sqweeking, good customer service, no rust, and they are cheaper!

I have them... if you get them... spray the rotors with high temp flat black paint before you install them... or else they WILL rust. Dont worry about getting it on the surface of the rotor.. you can either hit it with a little sandpaper or... first time you apply the brakes it will wear off.
I have had no issues with mine other than rust.

It's not worth the risk for me. If one guy had this kind of service, that's good enough for me. I bought pro-slot rotors with the gold color on the non-contact areas and they didn't rust at all during the last year. If they did, I would certainly expect a sympathetic ear from the guy who sold it to me or I wouldn't spend another nickel there.

Guys, I was in the market for rotors, and as I posted previously I was hesitant when I saw this thread. I just said fock it and purchased a complete set of the R1 premium rotors, and did like some said on this thread by spraying the rotors with black hi-temp paint and got them put on. I couldn't be happier, car stops ON A DIME!!! looks awesome with my M45 wheels, crazy how they get noticed looks wise, and the area that's supposed to rust is nice and black. I don't understand why some of you on here are knocking & bashing this product, and misleading the hell out of people like myself shopping for a set, thank goodness I didn't listen to some of the nonsense I saw on here and went with my gut feeling. I've had these on for 2 months now, I'll post some pics on here sometime.

I really don't see why people are hating on these rotors so much. I've been referred from 3 dif. people sayin these rotors were bad ***.. and let me tell you they are. I just hate how this bandwagon effect is o so rampant on these boards but i actually have had first hand experience with these rotors since i actually had them on for about a month. Braking is AMAZING!, doesn't fade on me n i have to say i am a pretty spirited driver never did i back down because i thought they wouldnt be able to handle it as for the whole "rust" issue. It's bullshyt because every rotor that isn't coated eventually rusts regardless of the brand. go take our ur oem ones and look at the hub and tell me if their not rusted. The r1 prem. ones i got were already pre-coated and we've had thunderstorms just about every other day for the past 3 weeks in VA and not one inch of rust so i dont really see why people are whining so much. i didnt even need to coat mine and their looking o so damn sexy. I got the brembo ones and some of my friends have the non brembos and never did i hear from anyone of them that their horrible rotors. So i'm sorry if some of you have had some bad experiences w a particular rotor but doesn't mean they all suck. Just cuz u don't like a certain dish at a restaurant doesn't mean everything else tastes nasty. To anyone who considered getting these rotors, trust me i shopped around for the best possible deal and i ended up coming back to these. Just my .02.

This thread was about MY experience with them and thier complete lack of customer service. For that reason, I say, stay away from them.

just to play devils advocate here...
sxexcx why would you use these rotors, if you were in fact building a show car? when i build my I30, cheap was not an option in my route to going "all out" why skimp out on the brakes where they are seen practically the most? just wondering, cause i have the R1 premiums with no quams or complaints

I bought these before I had the money for my BBK.
Not too many people have the money to buy the best of everything all at once. It takes time son!
