as far as the "diamond cut edge" being the newer better way of making slots...who should be trusted as the authority on brake rotors?
Should we trust R1 who says these new "diamond cut edges" are better?
or
Should we trust Endless, AP Racing, Willwood, Brembo, Greddy, JBT, Stoptech, ect, ect, ect who make rotors the "old" way?

no offense sxe, but thats what happens when u go the cheap route and buy cheap parts.. they're gonna suck! or they might suck, either way its an unacceptable probability of sucking... i went with some slotted stop-tech rotors and they came with a thick gray powder coating on it to prevent rusting where the pad didnt touch.. i've had them on for a couple months now and they still look great... and as for break debris getting stuck in the slot... are u kidding me? break dust is so fine it would simply blow right off when driving or whenever u'd wash ur car...
and if diamond cutting the edge of the rotor indeed creates more "stopping power" dont u think stop-tech, endless, project mu, ap, grex, and all them would've done the same.. i think its safe to assume that with all the money these LARGE companies are spending on R&D they'd be able to figure out what actually works best?

I have R1 rotors and i have had no complaints what so ever. I asked for zinc protection. Yes... rust comes when zinc wears off. But let me tell you, there's was the cheapest option available, PERIOD. Autozone was charging 70 bucks a rotor... they were selling a pair (drilled and slotted) for 120 shipped..... beat that. In the end you get what you paid for... and for the price they are pretty damn good.
