SPC Camber Arm Safety

I got the SPC Front Camber Arms for my G35 Coupe and by the looks of them, I wonder just how safe they are.

The Ball joint is held in place by 1 large nut, not cotter pinned, no nylock or otherwise. The surface that that the ball joint and nut mate too would be much better if it were knurled or grooved. It seems it would hold the adjustment better if the ball joint could not so easily slide around. This is a critical hinge point for the suspension and is under constant movement and stress.

My confidence in this assembly is less than I had hoped. Has anyone had any issues with this or am I just paranoid for no reason?

Thanks.

pm forum member Gilley or Chucky as they bought the whole (front&rear) SPC camber kit and installed it themselves. No issues they reported as of yet...

I just got my spc fronts in as well. Mine came with cotter pins at the top/end of the bolt.

Here is one from the sticky about the install. Notice the lack of any locking, safety device on the nut? Also, the slide is smooth. So the ability for it to get out of alignment is certainly enhanced.

It should have come with a cotter pin. I have front and rears. I have the revised fronts and I still bottom out. Im dropped on Tanabe Df210. Its a loud clunk, I do my best to drain out the noise. I used the camber set up for MAX negative camber.......

It has a cotter pin for the lower nut. The upper nut that holds the ball joint to the arm and likewise is the adjusting nut has no safety device.

This seems "cheap" to me.

I don't know what the current kits come with, but my SPC camber arm was a prototype, so it may be a little different. I haven't had an issue in the year they have been installed.
