just wanted to comment. i have the brembos, resurfaced rotors all around and fresh pads all around. slowing down i hear the squeal bad, just the back left. So i took them apart and lube them up good. but i noticed the shim on the left rear showed signs of grinding. I swapped shims left rear to right rear. and the noise went from the back left to the back right. so i know its a bad shim.

Does anyone know if you can buy shims seperately or you have to buy another set of brakes?

lost the lock key same time, ouch.

I'm goin to take the whole thing out (calipers and rotors) and clean the whole thing that should fix it

I've got an 04 coupe with Brembo's I replaced out the front pads about 2.5k? ago with EBC greenstuff pads, ever since I've had my car back up here in MI when coming to slow stops my right front side highly squeaks..I took off the wheel and pads the other day cleaned all the dust off/cleaned em up etc..put the gel on the back of the shims yet still now they squeak, I'm getting very annoyed with it.

Mine was doing this even with the brake goo on the back of the pads between the pad and that shoe clip thing some time after I had originally put the pads on. What do you call it? I took the rotors off and put them back on and it was doing it. Anyway, it eventually went away.
