For you guys stuck on keeping the OE air box....
I believe it would not be that difficult to do.
The only part that interferes is the nut where the lower arm brace mounts to the suspension point. (beside arrow on the left)

With all the aftermarket intakes installed, there must be a ton of old air boxes available for next to nothing.
I'd be picking one up to play with.

I never actually got around to it,
but I think all it would take is a heat gun to reshape the box a bit where that nut goes.

BTW.... speaking of nuts.... I'd give my left one to have a bar like this for a 2nd gen G.
The 2nd gen bars available are just under hood bling compared to this bar.

You guys are going to luv it!!!!

Yeah I didn't think of the ac line. Maybe I have to rethink the whole stock airbox. I'll know more when I get the Strut Bar.

Bending the A/C line has been done before. Remember Tim (TTrank) did it for his TT install. Just be patient and work slowly with it. I think that was the key.

i was also worried about the A/C line. Since i am picking up my bar from scott, i asked if he can do the install and he didn't have any issues with it. that relieves some worry about that.

it's also been done on every tt install, and every vortech powered car that has a cold air intake.

what's up guys. Well, I spoke to Scott yesterday to see if he received my payment. He told me that he is still waiting for I think one more person for full payment.

He also told me that the bars are being welded and will be powder coated next so it's about 2/3 of the way ready. Just thought you guys might want to know. Dang I can't wait!!

I was told today that the fitment for the Vortech version of the strut tower brace arm is finished and ready to be built as well now.
