My 2003.5 Sedan is having issues with the parking brake. Generally speaking the brake engages and holds firm, however recently the pedal intermittently stopped work. I can try to apply the parking brake but sometimes the pedal goes all the way to the floor without clicking/locking in place. After numerous times of pressing the brake, turning the car off/on, or shifting in/out gear the pedal will begin engaging. And again, once the pedal engages, the parking brake holds strong on a hill.

Im baffled as to what is going, can anyone provide some suggestions?
