my brake sound is really bad plz help~

hi~i have 05 coupe
and my car started make noice from the rear
so i took my car to shop and change the rear brake pad~

after i got my brake done, my squeek noice got worse and i brought my car back and they said there is nothing wrong and told me to give couple hundred miles~
i hear this noice constantly from start braking to end braking~

i ran couple hundred miles, and i still hear the squeek noise and it was not even that bad before i got my brake pad done~

so its actually worse with the new brake pad~
shop told me that they used full ceramic pad (claimed to be a good one)
and they could not find the problem~

when this mechanice was doing my brake, some reason, my rotor wasnt fitting quite well, so i saw him hitting my rotors with something couple times

maybe that caused some damage on my rotor?
what should i tell them?
they told me if i keep hear that noice, they will change pad to semi-ceramic and see what is going on~
do u think they damaged my rotors?what will be the cause?
plz help thanks~

did they hit ur OLD rotors or NEW rotors?
Old rotors, it's ok for them to beat it to get it off..
New rotors.. not really..
they probably didn't grease the shims/pads enough..
also.. does it make a noise at every light or just in the mornings, etc.

try some anti squeek lube on the pads and shims. It's not hard to pull them out

^^ nice avatar!! hahahaha

my breaks sound really bad but only when they get really hot, sounds like someone is on the chalk board scratching the heck out of it. other than that if i drive normal then they only squeak lightly

they hitted on new rotor after they put the pad in~so probably after the resurfacing~

my squeek sound gets worse at night driving...
but always squeeks~
thanks

thanks
but i am pretty sure they hit the "hub" part of the rotor right? not the braking surface? if so, not sure what resurfacing will do..
i would seriously rinse the brake dust off and re-grease. (after the water is dry)

why are you using ~ lines all the time

if your car is vibrating under braking, your rotor is probably warped. try some tests on offramps.

Honestly if it works and the pads are noisy, its just the way those pads are. Some aftermarket pads are just like that. But if its OEM pads id get them checked.

i would say try regreasing the pad/shims and the metal part that the pads actually sit in (i can't recall at this moment what they are called)..

usually, the ceramic pads have low squealing..
maybe tell them to put in the semi-metallic.. i hope they don't charge you.

yeah they used the full ceramic.

and they told me that if it keeps make noise they would go with some different brake pads..

so yeah..they will put the semi metallic..
i dont think they will charge me bcuz semi metallic is cheaper than full ceramic
so well,, we will see thanks

maybe the quality of the pads?
if they gave your $$$ back.
y don't u goto the infiniti dealer and buy the OEM pads and take it to a brake shop to get it installed..
Also.. y do i have a feeling that the TirePlus place trashed the OEM shims with the bracket that the OEM pads sit in? Without these there's like 99.9% chance of squeaking.. I wish I could check it for you..
(even if they did trash it.. i think you could get it for about $20~$30 at the dealer, so no sweat)

good luck

thanks probably they did track away..

anyways...here is what happened...i got all my money back..

brake pad itself with installation, and the tires and alignment..

i got all my money back~and he did not take pad from the rear

so he cant take it back and resell it anyways,,,so he told me keep it...

so what do i have to do now?

i can order oem brake pads and bring them to shop and tell them to install?

and how do i know i still have the oem sims and bracket?

and if i dont have them,,,can i buy them on online as well???

get me some detail thanks
