Please supply a detailed graph in increments of 1/1000th of seconds showing your leg pressure in pounds against the pedal.
Please supply a time vs position graph of your foot so that we can derive your individual eye, mind, muscle, foot reaction time.
The 1" pedal slack is build in to create a 1/15"-1/20" pad slack and flex to avoid constant friction - over heating and melting pads when the brakes are not applied.
Study your FSM to see the method of adjusting the vacuum booster rod into the master cylinder shaft which set this slack.................be extremely careful as adjustment here get multiplied by 10x.
Basic things taught in automotive technology classes at votech schools during two years of attendence.
