Clicking noise from the rear because the car is too low!?

hey all, i have really bad rear clicking noise coming from the rear, happens when in reverse only

well, i have it in the shop right now, turns out that the car is too low, cause stress to the rear axle shaft

i will know within the hour if the entire shaft needs replace or just the boot or something

but is there any way to prevent this from happening without raising the car?

or how high should i raise it back up?

im lowered on greddy type-s coilovers

thanks

I had a problem with a clicking noise from the rear axels some time back when reversing the car. Turns out this is a somewhat common problem. Took it to the dealership and they said they had to remove the axels and put them back in. Haven't had a problem since and was covered under warranty...

^haha of course they made coilovers, fyi, the greddy type-s coilovers are the most comfortable coilovers i have ever had

actually i just got it back from the shop

turns out the rear axle shaft needed lubrication, the control arm needed lubrication, the bushing needed lubrication, i also had squeaking from my rear cause my spl pro rear camber arms needed lubrication

also, if you have seen my recent pics, my rear suspension was a little lower than my front, giving it an odd stance, they raised my rear about an inch so now my rear sits 1/4-1/2 of an inch higher than my front, giving it a prowling stance

NO MORE SQUEAKING OR CLICKING YAY!

oh really? oh interesting, you should try out other coilovers there are ones that are more comfortable out there for sure, sorry maybe it's just me but I wouldn't go with that kind of brand of coilovers. It doesn't seem greddy would specialize in suspension parts

but good you got your stuff to work now

told you its the rear axle.. haha

haha, yes you did, and thanks for your help

believe me on the comfort thing

i have had H&R, tien basics, tien comfort sport, and a friend of mine has the hks hypermax3, when it comes down to strictly street driving and comfortability, i went with greddy

even tho they are going down hill HAHA
