Yes we do need this thread and yes it should be a sticky. I have been looking for a front strut bar for months that actually works and clears the hood with the liner on. I couldn't give a lick about it clearing the engine cover or stock tube as i have neither. Despite that I still have no bar.

you have the richie bar on there but not the NRG which is the v2 richie if i am not mistaken.

I tried that and for that one I say

Richie's V2 Bar
a) Three piece bar
b) will clear any spacer or intake I think. The distance between plenum and bar is ridiculous. it hits the hood big time. will bulge the hood with the hoodliner on, will still rub without.
c) easy install. About as easy as putting a fake vent on your hood with sticky tape and just as effective
d) Your 98 year old grandma could flex it with her bare arms
e) There is a reason it's cheap, actually several
f) worthless piece of crap. buyer beware.

I have this bar. It's not a total piece of crap. It noticeably helps handling and tightens up the front end... but with that said mine also rubs the hood like crazy. I even filed down the brackets to lower the lowest setting and it still rubs on the inside of the hood

filing down the slots won't get it to not hit the hood. You would actually need to drill new holes under the slots as close to the bracket base as you can to get it low enough.

I thought about doing that but when i saw how easily the bar flexed and how it ships with totally unsuitable for suspension mounting soft stainless bolts I said sorry going back.

Would it also be worth noting which bars may
1) obstruct access to or
2) not suited to
coilover damper adjustment *****?
