Suspension question

Due to the fact that not many people visit the suspension section I figured I would ask this question here.

Would 2003 OEM 350z springs fit on a 2003.5 g35 sedan. Would I have to get different struts and shocks or would it be acceptable to run the oem g35 ones with 350z springs?

Thanks

They'll work but ur factory shocks in the back won't last that long, you'd have to get 350z shocks or aftermarket ones

if you have OEM sport suspension you can swap out the Z springs and use your OEM shocks and struts. The 03-04 Z uses the same spring rates as our sport suspension. If you have non-sport model, you should swap everything.

Do not go just by exterior trim. Go down the car and check the color of the shocks and struts. If they are red = sport suspension. Still, the best idea is to swap the whole suspension or mix and match compatible dampening rate of shocks with spring rate. Try the sedan FAQ, there is a lot of information there.

Springs will fit with your stock shocks/struts. The 350Z shock/struts are nice cause they're a bit shorter than on the G so it'll gain you back some suspension travel. 05 6MT on Revised 350Z springs/struts.

If i have an 03.5 and my springs are black, im assuming this means its not sport suspension. What would I have to get along with the springs to make the 350z springs fit?

If the shocks are Red. You have sport suspension. I would suggest in getting some tokico d specs, they are adjustable and will probably give you the best bang for your buck

Or just go with some low price coilovers.

the springs will fit fine, but the Z spring rates are stiffer than what non-sport shocks/struts are designed for. It will result in a choppy unpredictable ride. So if this is the case, I would recommend picking up a full low-mileage revised Z suspension.
