2003 to I believe 2005 sedan's with the sport suspension have red colored shocks. We've been getting conflicting reports of 2006 sedan's with the sport suspension having black colored shocks, honestly don't know if that also extends to 2005 cars.
Very helpful.

The only reason I said black was to distinguish OEM vs. Blue.

I didn't know tokico did this...

Just picked up an Eibach Pro-kit for the G35. Should I get the 350Z version of the Tokico HPs or the G35 version?

This is for an '05 coupe w/ sport suspension...

No reviews of these shocks yet? I'm going to swap in for my 2008 350Z Suspension.

350z shocks will probably be stiffer than the G35 shocks staying within the HP series, really all of the components for the 350Z are stiffer than G35. So from what I've seen, I think I could logically conclude that the Z HP shocks will be stiffer than the G HP shocks.

BTW, I did this exact swap as well, however I stayed on stock springs throughout the transition and my shocks are still in great condition. Car responds a little bit quicker, and the ride is a little bit stiffer. Got it all from Yoparts about 6 months ago, 200 for the whole set I believe.

EDIT: BTW, the HP's dropped me about 1/2 an inch.

Guys,

Please listen to me. Do not run Tokico HPs for the 350z on your G35. It ruins the ride of the G. My car now drives like a 350z with the track set up. It handles amazing, but at a great cost for ride comfort. And yes, THE SHOCKS ALONE ARE SHORTER AND WILL DROP THE CAR MORE THAN WITH JUST SPRINGS AND G SHOCKS....

I put on 350z HP blues with my 350z H-tech springs which I previously had on the car with the stock shocks and...the height of the car raised about a half inch lol yes the the ride is much more stiffer and handles a lot better..i like it

raised? How many finger gap do u have in the front? The only reason why it would have raised was bc your stock shocks were done which dropped the car more.

Or because his springs weren't fully seated in the shocks. (That sounds ignorant, please don't take it as such). Every time I've dropped a car, the springs seated and dropped a little bit more (4 spring installs to date)

I would say it was due to my stock shocks being done. My car looked more like it was on S-techs with the stock shocks. I used to have like maybe a pinky finger gap in front and one finger gap in rear...now i have about 1 1/2 finger gap all around. looks nice and even thats for sure but just wish it was lower :/ anyone want to trade S-techs for H-techs?

Also springs have been on there for about a month now, they are settled in. In fact the rear did not need to settle considering the spring was never removed from the bucket. the fronts have settled a tad bit and im sure thats as low as they will go...until these new shocks start to wear out lol

Hmmm, I may get some S-techs for x-mas and take your H-techs then. Maybe.

I don't know if I mentioned it or not but I did also noticed a slight raise after installing HP shocks.

I'm thinking of lowering my G more now. 350Z H techs will not do now.
