I would put my money that the springs were not seated correctly either before or after the shock install. There is a perch that the end of the coil of the spring sits in, which if not done correctly on all four corners could lead to height discrepancies.

interesting.
I just assumed the HP shocks would lower just a tad, but if not then that's fine.
Like for Hondas, when they put aftermarket shocks like tokicos, it would lower it just a tad more. Of course a totally different vehicle.
If you anyone has pictures of their setup 350 htechs/ G or Z HPs would be coo.
Some say HP's will lower, some say no. which is it? hahha I guess I'll just have to wait and see. If it does lower, cool, if not, owell

Shocks do not lower/raise the car. Not on any car.

Unless you have some hooker air shocks or something

I'm fully aware of how they seat. They were seated correctly before as well as after.

read couple of posts above.

Me and other members notice a light raise over stock shocks.

it's not a primary function of the shocks and more like a side effect but Tokico HP did raise my car a little.

Not suggesting the reason that other users are experiencing a raise. But didn't you say that your shocks were blown like no other?

is it because the shocks are new and are not worn yet causing it the car to be raised a little?

my shocks seem to be okay right now (93k)
but many people have been telling me the stockies will
be blown soon, so I purchased the HP's.
I doubt I'll see a raise since my shocks aren't blown out.
Should be the same height...

I've said before, you may have just missed it, that I'll get pictures once it's clean.

There is ALOT of bad information on this thread. If you drive a G buy the G shocks, if you drive a Z buy the Z shocks. There is about an inch difference in the length of the shaft between the G and Z HPs. I know, I have had and installed both. The ride is much more harsh with the Z shocks. The rear of my car sat 1/2 inch lower with Z HPs than G HPs, same springs seated correctly.

I wonder if the difference in height would make the z shocks last longer with the z springs, since they were designed to run at that height?

in my honda days, when you lowered a car on a full height strut, the struts wore out pretty fast
