Akebono swap

Any thing I will run into installing the Akebono BBK to my 2005 G35x? I ordered the whole kit from a vendor. I am asking if there are any mods needed to be done aside from the dust shields.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!!

No probs. That's a big upgrade, so I'd ask extra questions too before I jumped into it. Post up something after you're done so we can all see it. (I'm envious because I can't put this kit on my car - run stock 17's in the winter).

Well I knocked it out yesterday by myself in about 5 hours, slacking and taking my time to read and re-read the article you linked me too. Unfortunately since I was the only one working on it, I was more focused on doing the work and doing it right, rather than documenting it with pictures. I did have help at the ended bleeding my brakes since it is easier with two people.

I would estimate that if I had a lift and multiple airsaw blades for cutting the dustshields, the job could be done in about 3.5 hours. 2 if you had two people working at the same time. It is an incredibably easy job to do.

Fine, make me more envious why don't you!

And I wasn't thinking of another DIY from you, nothing that big. Maybe just add your thoughts on your upgrade to that DIY thread so others might benefit.

Now, where's that template I cut out? I'm sure if I measure it just one more time against those stock 17's, it will finally fit.

Me gusta. These will look good on my red painted OEM sport brakes

/troll

Seriously though, that looks good... But we need you to test them to temperature cycles (getting hot and cold).
