How can I get Megan Racing coils to go lower in the rear?
I already took off both rings/collars off the OEM style setup in the rear of my 05 coupe, and the car has a mild 1" drop. How can I go lower back there? can I get a set of sprint or another brand springs with lower rates? I don't really want to cut springs but i'm getting desperate -Megan Racing Street Coilovers. Thanks

Xet- pretty harsh, tho your dead on with the lack of search function prior to making a thread like this. Noob- I would suggest asking one of our many suspension vendors before doing anymore here. Find one that sells megan's and get their answer. Tho I'm positive that you need to make adjustments on both the perch and the shock to get to the maximum drop.

Ah yes someone with knowledgeable input! Yes the shocks are both completely lowered into their shock bodies and springs maxed
P.S. to the db above (XET) it's the valving on the shocks that are different not the spring rates between the BC's and Megans + not to knock them but u have form & functions which are not the most expensive or best system, baller.

do you have any pics of how low your rear is already? a pic would help to see if you are indeed lowered to the max. If i'm not mistaken, even with the optional shorter BC springs, you'll barely get the top of a 19in rim right at the fender.
Also, it may be a stupid question but it does happen to people here, did you make sure you remove the OEM upper rubber spring mount? and are your coils mounted with the perch collar on top? You do, however, have to keep the lower rubber mount in the spring bucket.

I might have to look into the optional BC racing rear springs. That's a very valid question, yes the OEM upper rubber mount spring mount has been removed and the perch collar is facing up with the lower rubber mount in the spring bucket. Here is a picture to give u a better idea of where the drop is. Thanks for your help!!

It should go lower than that with the Megan setup right out of the box. It may take a day or so to settle. If you want to drop it lower than that, you can remove one of the red locking collars on the tops of the springs. This wont cause an problems because the if they are already screwed all the way to the top, the single remaining collar will snug up against the shock body instead of having to snug up against the other collar.
Calm down.
You're welcome.

f&f are not the best but then again I knew I would want the ability to go as low as I wanted and f&f offers a lot more in that department than megan's.
Also from your pics you shouldn't be even close to being as low as possible. Here is a pic on my f&f which isn't anywhere near being as low as it can be, and megans shouldn't be THAT much shorter.
Check to make sure everything is installed correctly, other than that just wait till it settles. But even overnight it should be much closer to the actual height than how it is now.
