05 G35X Front Wheel Bearing replacement problem
05 G35X Front Wheel Bearing replacement problem
I am replacing a wheel bearing on 05 Infiniti G35x (awd). I can only get 3 of the 4 hub bolts off. One of the suspension linkages makes in impossible to get the 4th bolt off without disassembling the suspension linkages. The factory service manual calls for you to do that anyway, but its just a pain in the *** because its just the one bolt you cant get to.
The problem is that the FSM wants you to use a Kent-moore ball joint puller that I cant find for the life of me. It appears to be outdated, unavailable, or not for sale at all. Is there any reason a generic pickle fork shouldnt be used instead?
Also, when I go to bust the bolts on the ball joints loose, they just spin with the shank that goes into the ball joint and I cant get them off. What am I missing?
Any help greatly appreciated.
