What affects camber?
What affects camber? Does ride height affect it?
Why I asked this is bc I got some work done to my suspension and I went to go get it align and the sheet read that I was running
-1.8 on the driver side front
-3.8 on the passenger front
Now thats really off! Im lowered on coils and I have SPC front camber arms and they are maxed out to positive!
I thought maybe it was the ride height in the front that was off causing the camber to be off... I measured the height and it was reading about 25'' (ground to top fender) on one side and about 25.45'' on the other...
Could that be the cause of why the camber is off by so much?

Well what Im confused about is how the camber is way off. Im talking about the fronts only. Not the rears. Rears are good.
Like the SPC front arms are maxed out on both sides. How can the camber be so off? Ride height is about even almost on both sides. Maybe off by half an inch... but how can half an inch cause such a big gap from the both sides of the camber.

Im think they know what they are doing.
Toe and Caster are all good for the front. Its the Camber thats way off, and the only way to fix that is to adjust the arms to more positive. Both sides are maxed out to positive.
Im thinking maybe its the ride height (driver 25.45'' & passenger side 25'') in front thats off causing more negative camber on one side. (driver -1.6 & passenger -3.8)

Dad fixed the problem but once I got my car back I notice the camber was real off on the passenger side. I usually do the camber for the front before I take it firestone bc adjusting the camber at my height is actually difficult. You have to drop the A arm a lot lower to reach the adjuster and it causes for more labor time which cost more money. I have life time alignment. But back to the story, I usually just pull it in or out to adjust the camber but I never had fiddled with the offset of the caster/camber. I never knew there was that. Installing the arms, I dont remember if I set the offsets equally. It kinda explains why its off so much on one side even though they are both maxed out to positive. Height isnt really that off. So therefor the only thing I can think of now is the offset of the camber. Makes sense bc the vehicle has never been in an accident.
